The National Human Trafficking Hotline is toll free and multi-lingual. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Specific tips helpful to law enforcement when reporting to the hotline include:

  • Descriptions of cars (make, model, color, license plate number, etc.) and people (height, weight, hair color, eye color, age, etc.). Take a picture if you can.
  • Specific times, places, and dates.
  • Addresses and locations where the suspicious activity took place.

Children who run away from home or are homeless are two groups of children who are at the greatest risk for being trafficked. This hotline is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call this number if

  • you are a teenager thinking about running away or have a friend who has runaway.
  • you are a teacher looking for information to pass on to your students.
  • you are looking for information on how to help someone who is at risk for running away.
