Learn to Recognize and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse
Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children® is a two-hour training program that teaches adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. As a certified facilitator, Rivers of Justice provides the Stewards of Children® training to churches, schools, foster agencies and many other organizations in our communities.
You should consider taking this training if:
- You’re a part of an organization that serves children: churches, schools, daycare centers, medical/dental offices, foster care agencies, etc.
- You’re an organizational leader, healthcare professionals, parent, or a community member concerned about the safety and well-being of children.
What to expect during the two-hour session:
- Built on the foundation of The 5 Steps to Protecting Children™️, you’ll learn practical ways to prevent and recognize child sexual abuse through videos, slide presentations and group discussions.
- Steward of Children® features real people and stories to show you how to protect children. You’ll meet survivors who lived through child sexual abuse, experienced its immediate and long-term effects, and ultimately were able to find healing. You’ll also meet experts who work with children and families, and confront abuse on a daily basis. Many of these survivors and experts are also parents themselves.
